Mrs. Mattie Evans of 2328 Sherry Circle entered into rest Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at a local health care facility.
Mrs. Mattie Evans will lie in state in Vaughn Chapel Baptist Church from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral services Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery.
Survivors include her stepson, Mr. Robert Evans of California; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Clyde Lawson, Mrs. Veola Milton, Mrs. Gloria McDowell, all of Milledgeville, and Mrs. Julia Ward of Mississippi; three brothers, Mr. William McDowell, Mr. Ernest McDowell and Mr. Varry McDowell, all of Milledgeville; 12 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Friends may visit the family at the home of Deacon and Mrs. Matthew and Annie Lawson, 106 Harris Drive NE, Milledgeville.
