MILLEDGEVILLE — Rufus W. Quinn Sr., 74, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Quinn, a native and life-long resident of Baldwin County, was retired from Central State Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Wesley and Frances Franks Quinn. He was a member of Freedom Church.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Brooks Quinn of Milledgeville; a son, Rufus W. Quinn Jr. of Milledgeville; two daughters, Sandra Watkins (Teddy) of Ellijay and Sue Williams of Milledgeville; four sisters: Martha Cook (Billy) of Gordon; Shirley Chivvis (John) of Hockley, Texas;, Mary Lane of Gordon and Annie Black (Tom) of Vancouver, Wash.; and grandchildren: Kevin Hardie, Chelsea Williams, Wes Watkins and Anna Williams.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at Moores Funeral Home.
