MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Debra “Deby” Woodward Burkhalter, 56, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in Freedom Church with the Rev. Wendell Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Heritage Memorial Park.

The family will be at Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday to receive friends.

Mrs. Burkhalter was a native of Macon and had lived most of her life in Milledgeville. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Woodward and Grace Atchison Babb. She was retired from Brown and Williamson and was a member of Freedom Church.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Burkhalter; son, Kris Gee, both of Milledgeville; stepdaughters, Kristie Burkhalter of MacClenny, Texas, and Stephanie (Marty) Ash of Middleburg, Fla.; sisters, Renae (Howard) Brown, Cindi (Michael) Smith and Georgina Babb, all of Milledgeville; brother, Michael (Vickie) Woodward of Gray; and grandchild, Bryson Burkhalter.
