Virginia Towson obit

MILLEDGEVILLE — Virginia Moore Towson, of Eatonton, died Thursday afternoon at her home. She is survived by two sons, Lin (Jo) Towson of Milledgeville and Bruce (Debbie) Towson of McDonough; and preceded in death by her husband, Earl Towson, and daughter, Janice Rickman of Macon.

Mrs. Towson also leaves grandsons, Sam Rickman (Lynette) of Conyers; Brad Towson (Keely) of Atlanta; John David Rickman (Lindsay) of Milledgeville; Michael Towson (Jill) of McDonough; and Mc Daniel, Walker Daniel and Chad Kellett, all of McDonough. Three great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters also survive Mrs. Towson.

Born March 3, 1928, Virginia was raised in Twiggs County, Ga.. Virginia and Earl made their home and raised three children in Macon. In 1978, they moved to Milledgeville to live on Lake Sinclair. Virginia is a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Milledgeville.

Visitation is Monday, February 4 at Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville from 5 to 7 p.m. The service will be Tuesday, February 5th at 2:00PM at the First United Methodist Church of Milledgeville with Pastors Mike Cavin and Jay Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
