Charles Ray Moore

EATONTON —  

Mr. Charles Ray “Chuck” Moore passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted, 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, in the Williams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Glover officating.  Interment will follow in Heritage Memorial Park. 

The family will be at Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville Saturday from 5 until 7 p.m. to receive friends. 

Charles was a native of Tazewell, Tenn., the son of the late Rev. Charles Sherman Moore and Nancy Smith Moore.  He came to Milledgeville in 1981 with General Telephone and retired as a supervisor with ALLTEL, now Windstream.  He was  a veteran  of the U.S. Marine Corps and a former commander of the VFW. He was preceded in death by a son, Arlan Moore, and a grandson, Matthew Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Edmiston Moore of Eatonton; daughters: Tina (Alan) Buford of Palmetto and Nancy (Scott) Crosby of Macon; son, Brian Moore of Macon; grandchildren, Tiffanie Catron, Asheley Miller, Jonathan Bonner, Jessica Bonner, Bradley Moore and Skyler Moore; daughter-in-law, Linda Moore; and four great grandchildren.
