Argent Sue Carr

MILLEDGEVILLE — Argent “Sue” Herrington Carr, 84, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Waers officiating.

Mrs. Carr was a native of Midville and was a graduate of GSCW (now Georgia College). She taught math in the Wilkinson County, Richmond County and Baldwin County school systems for more than 50 years, touching many lives. She was a member of the UDC and First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters: Patsy Carr-Smith (Jerry) of Buckhead, Mary C. Banning of Springfield, Mo., and Argent C. Hewitt (Neil) of Milledgeville; grandchildren: Alex Hewitt (Rachel), Nick Hewitt, Chelsea Banning, Carrlee Banning and Caytie Banning, Cerah Coleman (Austin) and Ashley Smith; and two great grandchildren, Parker Coleman and River Banning. Extended family

includes Joan Stiles, Mandy Peacock, Brandon Peacock and special caregivers, Diane Morris and Sheliah Scarborough.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at Moores Funeral Home.

Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society or Hospice.
