MILLEDGEVILLE — Mrs. Theora Jean Stephens Godsey, 82, wife of the late James Godsey, entered into rest Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Savannah Court of Milledgeville.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Kenneth Walker officiating.

Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Scott Batchelor, Todd Rachels, Adam Godsey, Lee Johnson and Frank Folsom.

Mrs. Godsey was born in Waverly, Ohio to the late James and Mary Fyffe Stephens. She was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Victory Baptist Church in Milledgeville.

Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Johnson and her husband, Lee, of Eatonton and Sherry Buninskas of Biloxi, Miss.; son, the Rev. Jeffrey C. Godsey and his wife Lisa of Greenville, S.C.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Victory Baptist Church, 107 Sinclair Marina Road NE, Milledgeville, GA 31061.

The family will receive friends on Friday from noon until 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
