MILLEDGEVILLE —  

Mr. Eugene "Gene" E. Stevens, 72, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville chapel with Pastor David Raetz officiating.

The family will be at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service hour to receive friends.

Mr. Stevens was a native of Hillsdale, Mich. and was the son of the late Floyd Gayle Stevens and Dorrel Hutchins Stevens. He had lived in Milledgeville since 1997 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and music. He retired from Vought and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Kennel Stevens of Eatonton; daughters Carolyn (Jeff) Welsch of Jacksonville, Fla. and Audra (Pawel) Zelenski of St. Cloud, Fla.; grandchildren, Justin, Alexandra and Courtney Welsch, Andrew, Rachel and Sarah Zelenski; brother, William (Barbara) Stevens; sisters, Deanna (Steve) Hegedus all of Eatonton and Gloria Stevens of Palm City, Fla..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hope Lutheran Church or to Serenity Hospice.
