Services for Mr. Charles M. “Chuck” Vandiver, 79, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, in New Life Ministries Church of God with the Rev. John D. Milam, the Rev. Randle Frashier and the Rev. Eddie Braswell officiating. Interment followed in Heritage Memorial Park.
Mr. Vandiver passed away Saturday morning, Feb. 6, 2010. He was a native of Kentucky and lived in Moultrie for a number of years and had lived in Milledgeville since 1962. He was an avid sportsman and a graduate of the University of Georgia. He coached and refereed softball in Middle Georgia for a number of years and had worked for the Department of Corrections until retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of New Life Ministries Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Mollie Doolittle Vandiver; sons, Robert Wesley Vandiver of Milledgeville and Charles Vandiver of Wrightsville; granddaughter, Katie Beth Vandiver of Milledgeville; stepsons, Eddie Edenfield and Glen Edenfield; great-grandchildren, Brandy Edenfield and Brian “Little Man” Edenfield of Milledgeville; and cousin, Robert English of Locust Grove.
