Funeral services for Mr. James E. “Tip” Warthen of Sparta will be at noon Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at St. Galilee Baptist Church, Sparta. Bishop W.J. McCalla is pastor/eulogist.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mary J. Warthen of Sparta; children, Amaden Grable and Demario Warthen of Sparta and Stephanie Lawrence of Marietta; mother, Louise Warthen of Warthen; two sisters, Mary A. Engram of Warrenton and Gearldean Warthen of Warthen; one brother, Darryl Warthen of Warthen; and four grandchildren.
Ingram Brothers Funeral Home Inc., 249 Spring St., Sparta, has charge of arrangements.
