Woman charged in intern death speaks publically

ATLANTA — The woman charged with driving drunk and causing an accident that killed a governor's intern early Saturday spoke publicly in Atlanta Thursday to express her remorse over the death.

Christa Scott was already crying when she entered the press conference. She was joined by her parents Steve and Jaeralynn Scott.

The family has retained high-profile Atlanta criminal defense attorney David Wolfe.

Friends say Jordan Griner had acted as designated driver for a party and had just finished dropping off friends when a car slammed into his vehicle.

Through tears, Christa Scott told reporters Thursday that people "have no idea" how hard it's been to deal with the accident.
