Troops return from Iraq for monthlong stay

After a 15-month deployment in Iraq, about 90 soldiers from the 63rd Engineer Company were welcomed home by family and friends for a monthlong stay.

The soldiers arrived at Lawson Army Airfield on Monday. The troops are part of a combat support equipment unit capable of providing support in defensive positions and constructing roads and airfields. The 63rd is an element of the 11th Engineer Battallion.

Another group of about 50 soldiers from the company will arrive early next month.
