Baldwin High ushered in its 2009-10 basketball season Wednesday night with hours of entertainment for a thunderous crowd at the school gymnasium.
The hundreds in attendance got a chance to meet the individual varsity and junior varsity basketball players and were also delighted by the performance of the Baldwin High cheerleading team, who set the crowd off with their hyperkinetic stomps and dance moves.
The Eagle Ridge cheerleading squad also raised the sound decibals a few notches by putting together a sassy, well-timed and flawless performanc.
Donnie Coburn’s Creekside Elementary tumbling team then streamed onto the court on their gigantic blue mats and entertained the crowd — cartwheeling their way like a row on dominoes in precision.
In all, it was a fun and festive night at Baldwin High and the upcoming basketball season looks promising for both the Varsity and JV squads.
Be on the lookout for more on the Baldwin Brave and Bravette upcoming basketball season in upcoming issues of The Union-Recorder. It should be an exciting season!
