GMC Prep soccer teams open season on the road

MILLEDGEVILLE — The Georgia Military College Prep School soccer teams traveled to Washington County Thursday for the opening game of the season.

The varsity girls ended in a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation, and because Washington County was a non-region opponent no overtime was held. Outstanding performances were turned in for GMC by two freshmen, Becky Vaughn and Sutton Long.

In junior varsity boys action, GMC Prep fell 2-1 in a close and competitive game. Freshmen Tyler Oates and Ethan Spires both performed well for GMC in the loss.

The varsity boys loss an aggressively played 4-1 match.
