UPDATE: BHS clinches playoff spot, JMA wins region

MILLEDGEVILLE —

The Baldwin Braves clinched a playoff spot on homecoming, and John Milledge Academy won region on the road Friday night.

The Braves defeated West Laurens, 29-0. JMA traveled to Eatonton to defeat rival Gatewood.

The Baldwin Braves and Georgia Military College Prep both had leads in the homecoming matchups.

The Braves led 22-0 over West Laurens at the half and held on with tough defense going into the fourth quarter. GMC Prep led Aquinas 14-7 at the half, but the Bulldogs were down 28-14 early in the fourth.
