Holiday Market at the Greenway coming Saturday

MILLEDGEVILLE — Stock up on provisions for holiday feasts and celebrations, or shop for a special gift or two at the Holiday Market at the Greenway from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Stroll the stands of area farmers and vendors for the freshest local produce, meat, jams and jellies, and fresh-baked breads. The market will also feature eggs, milk and cheese for purchase. Craft vendors will join this market and offer luxury bath and body products, food mixes, and other great gift ideas.

Vendors will be selling packages from all the local farms available for pick-up in Milledgeville the following Saturday. Items are not yet finalized, so keep checking back for more info.

“All of the vendors (and food!) that you've come to know and love are going to be at this market,” said Chelsea Losh of Babe + Sage Farm. “This is your chance to get your regular goodies and to stock up for the holiday season! Be there or be square.”

Vendors scheduled to attend the market include:

• Babe + Sage Farm

• The Little Farm

• Fort Creek Farm

• Elm Street Gardens

• Three Centuries Farm

• East Georgia Produce

• Southern Swiss Dairy

• Forest Grove Farm

• Sparkleberry Market Garden

• Evergreen East Farm

• Barker Farms

The Holiday Market will also feature new locally produced products including:

• Sparta Imperial Mushrooms

• Ultra Pampering Handcrafted Luxury Bath and Body Products 

• Jammin' Jambalaya Mix

The Oconee River Greenway Authority is the sponsor of this market, which is free and open to the public. The Greenway is located off Hancock Street (Highway 22) at the River Bridge. The entrance is clearly marked by signs.
