MILLEDGEVILLE — State Sen. Burt Jones (R-Jackson) was sworn in to office to represent the 25th District on the opening day of the legislative session Monday.
Jones, who was elected in November, serves as a member of the Senate’s Insurance and Labor Committee, secretary of the Higher Education Committee and vice chair of the State Institutions and Property Committee.
His district includes Bibb, Butts, Green, Jasper, Jones, Putnam, Morgan and Walton counties in addition to Baldwin.
