Shoulder work under way at state route locations

MILLEDGEVILLE — Portions of state Routes 22, 24, 29, 49, 112, 212 and 243 may be affected this week by roadwork, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Georgia DOT maintenance crews will work this week on the shoulders of the state routes each day between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

According to a GDOT press release, a single lane closure and/or flagman may be in utilized for the work. Motorists should reduce their speed in the work zones.

Though the road work is contingent upon weather conditions, work is slated to be complete at each location by Friday.
