GREENSBORO — For those who believe — along with those who don’t — Santa and live reindeer will visit Lake Oconee early this year as Boats with Gusto will host its annual holiday celebration beginning Friday.
Between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30, Santa and the live reindeer along with a full size sleigh will welcome children of all ages to the Boats with Gusto location at 5820 Lake Oconee Parkway in Greensboro. Boats with Gusto has hosted the Reindeer Rendezvous for the past two years and this year will include a plethora of events to compliment the annual celebration.
Roger Cannon Photography will be on site to take professional photos and events this year include:
— Pet adoptions;
— Christmas tree purchases to benefit Habitat for Humanity;
— Hot dogs, hot chocolate, apple cider and holiday lattes will be available;
— Ferst Foundation Children’s Cookbooks, fresh baked goods and storytime with Santa’s Elves will be available;
— Toys from Lakeside Computer will be available;
— Donate a can of pet food for Oconee Regional Humane Society;
— Rides on custom golf carts including UGA Bulldogs, Grave Digger and Limousine;
— Donate a can of food for the Food Pantry;
— Miniature Golf at Gusto Golf;
— Buy a Christmas wreath to benefit Gatewood School’s music program.
Dogs on leashes are welcome at the event. For more information, contact the Lake Welcome Center at (706) 453-1630.
