LAWRENCEVILLE — A 90-year-old is recovering after Gwinnett County authorities say he was hit by an SUV while trying to cross a busy street in a power scooter Friday.
It happened at 1:47 p.m. at U.S. Highway 78 and West Park Place.
Authorities say the unidentified victim was crossing the street as the SUV was attempting to turn.
Gwinnett Police spokesman Officer Brian Kelly says he suffered non life-threatening injuries.
It is unknown what, if any charges will be filed.

UPDATE - Victim identified in fatal shooting
Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee said 32 year-old Niquitta Ashley was killed after being shot by her husband in an apparent accidental shooting early Friday morning.
