MILLEDGEVILLE —
Baldwin County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a man Wednesday morning following a Tuesday night stabbing on Moran Springs Road.
According to detective Capt. Brad King, Barry Mullins was accused by the victim and at least one witness of stabbing the woman during a domestic incident Tuesday night. King said deputies responded to the home on Moran Springs Road around 10 p.m. to find the woman suffering knife wounds and cut wounds that King described as beyond superficial.
Minor children were present in the home during the incident, King said.
Deputies then sought Mullins on aggravated assault, battery and cruelty to children charges. A probation violation charge was added Wednesday morning.
Following the incident, Mullins made multiple calls to the county 911 center threatening to harm himself and provoking law enforcement to harm him.
Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to areas Mullins was known to frequent. King said Mullins was taken into custody without incident at a home on W. Bryan Street.
Mullins, who has a history of arrests for violence against women, was arrested and treated at Oconee Regional Medical Center before being booked at the Baldwin County Jail.
