On Saturday, June 2, I stopped on Washington Street to see if there were any weeds surrounding the marker that was placed by the Robert E. Lee Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and it could not be seen due to the fact that some one had planted a garden around it and it was so overgrown.
