MILLEDGEVILLE —
I wish to thank the anonymous Angels who assisted my Mom (Helen Moore) in the Big Lots/Family Dollar parking lot around noon Sunday, March 11, 2012.
Mom suffered a stroke that day and attempted to call me using her cell phone. She unsuccessfully dialed my number and also had difficulty dialing 911.
An angel called me using Mom’s cell and told me Mom was not feeling well and wanted to talk with me. When Mom spoke, I could tell she suffered a stroke as her speech was slurred.
The angel told me where they were and that they called 911. I arrived as Mom had just been placed in the ambulance. As I ran to the ambulance, another angel told me that Mom’s car was secured, the keys were in her purse and the purse was in the ambulance.
I was able to talk with Mom as the stroke had not yet affected her ability to communicate. After what I thought was a few minutes, I told Mom I wanted to go outside and thank everyone who helped her. When I exited the ambulance, no one was there.
While at the hospital, I was able to communicate and pray with Mom for a couple of hours before she was sedated in order to insert a ventilator. I’m blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to share that special time together as we were able to communicate with each other. Unfortunately, Mom suffered significant internal hemorrhaging and ultimately passed.
Had it not been for the angels in the parking lot that day, I may not have had the opportunity to speak with Mom prior to her death. I’m so grateful for that time together.
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and caring. May God bless you.
