I would like the thank the staff of The Union-Recorder for the late breaking news banner on its homepage. This week it was helpful to refer to for at least two significant events — most notably the changes in the processional for Staff Sergeant French.
This breaking news banner is where I check when I have a concern about the status of an event or hear of some possible news in our community. This is a wonderful addition that I hope everyone is using.
Thanks for keeping the community informed.

Many Easter symbols have pagan origins
Eggs, rabbits and hot cross buns are Easter symbols familiar to us all, yet many of us might be shocked or surprised at the real origin and meaning of many of our allegedly “Christian” Easter customs.
