MILLEDGEVILLE — Baldwin County Fire Rescue is selling tickets for barbecue chicken plates at $7 each. The money raised will help the department purchase equipment. Tickets can be purchased at the Headquarters station at 312 Allen Memorial Dr., in Milledgeville. The plates will be available for pick up on July 24 from noon to 3 p.m.

Oconee Regional Medical Center offers a free smoking cessation class from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, Wednesday, Aug. 11, Tuesday, Aug. 17 and Wednesday, Aug. 25. 6 to 7:30 p.m.: The Oconee Suicide Prevention Coalition presents Survivors of Suicide Support Group at River Edge Behavioral Center on Blandy Way. The group provides an opportunity for friends and family who have lost a loved one by suicide to connect with other survivors in a safe and healing environment.
