MILLEDGEVILLE — Flu vaccines are now available at the Baldwin County Health Department. They will offer both the traditional flu shot and Flu Mist, which is a nasal spray. Vaccines will cost $25 but are available at no charge to those on Medicaid, Peachcare, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Medicare Part B, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia or a State Benefit Plan through United Healthcare or Cigna. Flu vaccines will also be offered in the schools this year. Parents will receive permission slips from their child’s school in the coming weeks.

The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber presents Eggs & Issues “The State of Education” from 7:45 to 9 a.m. Oct. 30 at Crockett’s Family Restaurant on North Columbia Street. Baldwin County Board of Education Superintendent Geneva Braziel will present “The State of Education” sharing the successes and challenges of our public school system.
