MILLEDGEVILLE —  

Tuesday, Oct. 16

10:30 a.m.: A Senior Olympic badminton club will be held at the Baldwin County Recreation Department gym. 

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Cafe Central is open every Tuesday at Freedom Church in Milledgeville. A free meal will be served to everyone who comes. For information on volunteering, call (478) 453-4400.

Noon: The Grumman Retiree Club Peach Pit Chapter meets at Golden Corral.

12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club sponsor. 

1 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Eatonton Performing Arts Center on Madison Avenue in Eatonton. Come with a partner or e-mail Pat Turney at turney@plantationcable.net for a possible partner match.

3 to 6 p.m.: Milledgeville Marketplace Farmers Market features locally grown produce and hand made products. It is located in the city lot at 222 East Hancock between the Chevron Golden Pantry and the Huddle House. Free customer parking is available in the top parking area, and additional parking is located in the freshly cut grassy field just behind the lot.

3:30 to 6:30 p.m.: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. For more information, call (478) 387-0254 or e-mail colin@thedigitalbridges.org to reserve your slot or to volunteer.

6 p.m.: The Oconee Regional Medical Center Inc. and the Oconee Regional Health Systems Inc. Board of Directors will meet in the Administrative Suite Board Room.

6 p.m.: The County Commission meets in the Baldwin County Courthouse in Rm. 319.

7 p.m.: The Sweet Georgia Sound Sweet Adeline Chorus meets at Vineville Christian Towers to practice, socialize and sing. It is for women only. (478) 932-5387.

7:30 p.m.: The Baldwin County chapter of the NAACP meets at Flagg Chapel Baptist Church.
