Tuesday, Oct. 27

9 to 11 a.m.: MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meet at Northridge Christian Church MOPS, 321 Log Cabin Road. MOPS is designed to encourage mothers or expectant mothers of children ages 0-6 years old with relationships, resources and leadership. Childcare is provided. (478) 251-1532 or www.nccmops.com

10:30 a.m.: A new Senior Olympic badminton club will be held at the Baldwin County Recreation Department gym. The event is held every Tuesday and is sponsored by the Baldwin County Senior Olympics. The club is for anyone looking for leisure, social activity or friendly competition. For more information, contact David Carver at (478) 456-2735.

12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club sponsor.

1 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Eatonton Performing Arts Center on Madison Avenue in Eatonton. Come with a partner or e-mail Pat Turney at turney@plantationcable.net for a possible partner match.

4 to 7 p.m.: Milledgeville Marketplace Farmers Market features locally grown produce and hand made products. It is located in the city lot at 222 East Hancock between the Chevron Golden Pantry and the Huddle House. Free customer parking in the freshly cut grassy field just behind the lot. Enter from Elbert Street.

4 p.m.: N.A.M.I. (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Oconee, a support group for consumers, family, and friends of individuals with a severe mental illness/brain disorder, meets in the Christian Education Building of Covenant Presbyterian Church at 440 N. Columbia St. (478) 452-8600.

6 p.m.: The Bicycling Club of Milledgeville meets in the parking lot behind Oconee Outfitters for its weekly road ride. Beginner pace for first hour, moderate pace later.

6 to 7 p.m.: A smoking cessation class will be held at Oconee Regional Medical Center in the Educational Center. A total of four hours will be presented in one hour sessions held Tuesday, Oct. 27; Wednesday, Nov. 4; Tuesday, Nov. 10, and Wednesday, Oct. 18. The event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society. 7 p.m.: The Sweet Georgia Sound Sweet Adeline Chorus meets at Vineville Christian Towers to practice, socialize and sing. It is for women only. (478) 932-5387

10:30 a.m. to noon: Free computer classes for seniors will be held at the Senior Citizens Center in Baldwin County.

Noon: Milledgeville Exchange Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club.

1 to 2:30 p.m.: Falun Gong offered at Central City Park (formerly Bonner Park) picnic area. Cultivate mind and body with five sets of easy-to-learn exercises suitable for all ages and all physical conditions. Classes are free. (478) 453-4241

1 p.m.: Oconee Community Service Board meets at 1371 Orchard Hill Road. The community is invited to attend.

6 p.m.: The Bicycling Club of Milledgeville & Baldwin County meets in the basement of Blackbird Coffee on Hancock Street. Join cyclists of all types, ages and levels of ability to discuss plans for upcoming rides. Visit http://mvillebikes.com

6 to 9 p.m.: Baldwin High School sponsors a Haunted Trail Hay Ride at the Baldwin High School Nature Trail adjacent to the Vocational Building parking lot. Admission is $5 and all proceeds benefit Baldwin County Relay for Life.



Thursday, Oct. 29

7 a.m.: The Old Capital Kiwanis Club meets in Room 2-52 of Herty Hall on the GCSU campus.

Noon: The Rotary meets at the Country Club.

Noon: The Eatonton Kiwanis Club meets at Central Georgia Tech on the James Marshall bypass.

5:30 p.m.: Baldwin County Hospital Authority meets in the Board Room of the Oconee Regional Medical Center’s Administrative Suite.
