The Baldwin County Environmental Office provides a recycling opportunity for computer equipment and certain other electronic items. Collection bins will be positioned in the parking lot at Baldwin County Fire/Rescue Headquarters, 312 Allen Memorial Drive. Tuesday, Oct. 20
10:30 a.m.: A new Senior Olympic badminton club will be held at the Baldwin County Recreation Department gym. The event is held every Tuesday and is sponsored by the Baldwin County Senior Olympics. Noon: The Grumman Retiree Club Peach Pit Chapter meets at Golden Corral.
12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club sponsor.

It is located in the city lot at 222 East Hancock between the Chevron Golden Pantry and the Huddle House. Free customer parking in the freshly cut grassy field just behind the lot. 6 p.m.: The Bicycling Club of Milledgeville meets in the parking lot behind Oconee Outfitters for its weekly road ride. Beginner pace for first hour, moderate pace later.
6 p.m.: Baldwin County Board of Commissioners meets in Suite 319 of the Baldwin County Courthouse.
7 p.m.: The Sweet Georgia Sound Sweet Adeline Chorus meets at Vineville Christian Towers to practice, socialize and sing. It is for women only. (478) 932-5387

All Department of Driver Services customer service centers and administrative offices throughout the state will be closed due to mandatory furlough days. Customers that many transactions including initiating a change of address or replacing a lost license can be done online at www.dds.ga.gov.
7 a.m.: The Old Capital Kiwanis Club meets in Room 2-52 of Herty Hall on the GCSU campus.

6 to 8 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club presents a BBQ Sneak Peek. Sample ribs from 3 teams and vote for your favorite. All plates include ribs from 3 teams, 2 sides and a drink. Tickets are $15. Raffle tickets for a custom made grill from Bubba Grills are available for $5 each or 5 for $20. The drawing will be held at the Deeproots Festival at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 on the Bellamy Student Apartments Mainstage. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win. All proceeds go to revitalizing downtown Milledgeville. Tickets for both events can be purchased at the Milledgeville Main Street Office.
