MILLEDGEVILLE —
Baldwin County Fire Rescue is selling tickets for barbecue chicken plates at $7 each. The money raised will help the department purchase equipment. Tickets can be purchased at the Headquarters station at 312 Allen Memorial Dr., in Milledgeville. The plates will be available for pick up on July 24 from noon to 3 p.m.
Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates are again recruiting volunteers for an early fall training. CASA volunteers work with children that find themselves in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services. CASA volunteers provide a voice for these children in court. 6 p.m.: The Faith Hope and Love Cancer Support Group for Women meets at Sylvia’s Grille, 2600 N. Columbia St. in the Walmart Shopping Center. The meeting is open to cancer patients and survivors.
