Georgia Bob’s is selling Shamrocks in their stores in order to raise funds to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association. They are holding weekly drawings for gift cards and gift packs.
The Animal Rescue Foundation Inc. (ARF) will hold its 15th Annual ARF Auction on Saturday, March 2, at the Milledgeville Country Club. Tickets are $40 and there will be heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
The Lake Country Beekeepers Association will conduct a Beekeeping Short Course on Saturday, March 9 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Sparta at Elm Street Gardens. The pre-registration fee is $40 or $45 on the day of the program. There is a $10 fee for each additional family member and children under 18 with an adult are free. Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates is looking for volunteers for its next training session. CASA is a non-profit organization that works with abused and neglected children that have found themselves involved in the court system through no fault of their own. These children need a voice in court and that is the role of CASA to see that these children have an opportunity to have their voices heard and to received services needed.
