MILLEDGEVILLE —  

The Baldwin County Fire Rescue is collecting toys for its third annual Kids-Yule-Love Toy Drive. The follow stations are drop points: Allen Memorial Drive, Central State Hospital campus, Carr Station Road, Highway 22 and Lovers Lane and Log Cabin Road. The Lemon Tree downtown, as well as all Exchange Bank branches and Dr. William Lee’s office, 2715 N. Columbia, are also drop points. Toy collection will run until Dec. 18.

Flu vaccines are now available at the Baldwin County Health Department. They will offer both the traditional flu shot and Flu Mist, which is a nasal spray. Vaccines will cost $25 but are available at no charge to those on Medicaid, Peachcare, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Medicare Part B, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia or a State Benefit Plan through United Healthcare or Cigna.

Thursday, Dec. 13

9 a.m.: The Baldwin County Health Department, 953 Barrows Ferry Road, will hold their Board of Health quarterly meeting.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Harriet's Closet, a free supply closet to help fill the needs of cancer patients, is open. The nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cancer patients in Central Georgia has relocated next door to Georgia Cancer Specialists building at Oconee Regional Medical Center. 11:45 a.m.: The Civitan Club of Baldwin County meets 2nd and 4th Thursdays at the Golden Corral. Civitan's main thrust worldwide is helping the physically and/or mentally challenged. Noon: The Eatonton Kiwanis Club meets at Central Georgia Tech on the James Marshall bypass.

3 to 5 p.m.: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. 5:00 p.m.: The Historic Preservation Commission meets at City Hall.

5:30 p.m.: The Baldwin Christian Learning Center holds its monthly meeting at Hope Lutheran Church.
