MILLEDGEVILLE — The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber presents Eggs & Issues “The State of Education” from 7:45 to 9 a.m. Oct. 30 at Crockett’s Family Restaurant on North Columbia Street. Baldwin County Board of Education Superintendent Geneva Braziel will present “The State of Education” sharing the successes and challenges of our public school system. This session will also provide a forum to address the impact on our business community and identify partnership opportunities. Tickets cost $10 each or $75 for a table of eight; seating is limited. Tuesday, Oct. 23

10:30 a.m.: A Senior Olympic badminton club will be held at the Baldwin County Recreation Department gym.

11 a.m to 3 p.m..: “Survivors in Pink” and their club “Faith, Hope, and Love” will host “Bras for a Cause” on GC front campus to raise funds for the program. The bras will be decorated by students and turned in, they will then be put on display and everyone is welcome to come vote for their favorite, a single vote costs $1. The funds will go toward a banquet to honor survivors in late October.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Cafe Central is open every Tuesday at Freedom Church in Milledgeville. A free meal will be served to everyone who comes. For information on volunteering, call (478) 453-4400.

12:45 p.m.: The Milledgeville Kiwanis Club meets at the Milledgeville Country Club. Visitors are welcome to the program and to lunch with a club sponsor.

1 p.m.: The Eatonton Duplicate Bridge Club, an official member of the American Contract Bridge League, meets at the Eatonton Performing Arts Center on Madison Avenue in Eatonton. Come with a partner or e-mail Pat Turney at turney@plantationcable.net for a possible partner match.

3 to 6 p.m.: Milledgeville Marketplace Farmers Market features locally grown produce and hand made products. It is located in the city lot at 222 East Hancock between the Chevron Golden Pantry and the Huddle House. Free customer parking is available in the top parking area, and additional parking is located in the freshly cut grassy field just behind the lot.

3:30 to 6:30 p.m.: Digital Bridges Open Computer Clinic is open in the Knight Community Innovation Center, 127 W. Hancock St. Work station availability is limited. The clinic is designed to teach basic skills to adult beginning computer users. Participants may come with specific questions or for general knowledge. 4 p.m.: N.A.M.I. (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Oconee, a support group for consumers, family, and friends of individuals with a severe mental illness/brain disorder, meets in the Christian Education Building of Covenant Presbyterian Church at 440 N. Columbia St. (478) 452-8600.

6:30 p.m.: Milledgeville City Council meets at City Hall.

6:30 p.m.: The Wilkinson County Historical Society board members will meet followed by a society meeting at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Gordon historic train depot.

7 to 10 p.m.: “Survivors in Pink” and their club “Faith, Hope, and Love” will hold “Kicks for a Cure” at the Georgia College intramural fields. The funds raised will go toward a banquet for survivors that will be held in late October.

7 p.m.: The Sweet Georgia Sound Sweet Adeline Chorus meets at Vineville Christian Towers to practice, socialize and sing. It is for women only. (478) 932-5387.
