Burglary

A man reported a break-in at his W. Thomas Street apartment and the theft of his laptop computer and Xbox gaming console sometime between Nov. 27 and Nov. 30.  

Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart Loss Prevention employee reported a woman left the store without paying for a blender and toaster oven Nov. 30 around 4:26 p.m. 

Theft by Taking

An owner at a North Columbia Street grocery store reported that one of the employees has been stealing miscellaneous merchandise from the store.  

Interference with Government Property

A toy soldier decoration on West Hancock was reported damaged on Dec. 1. Georgia College students who witnessed the damage gave statements to the officer. After questioning the accused student and upon further investigation, it was revealed that one of the students who wrote the statement was actually the person who caused the damage to the decoration.    

Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported the theft of four packs of Hanes socks by a juvenile at approximately 5:06 p.m. Dec. 1. 

Theft by Taking

A woman reported that a female that she knows took several pairs of her shoes and miscellaneous synthetic hair pieces from her Ellis Street residence sometime before Dec. 2.

Armed Robbery

An officer responded to call of gunshots being fired in the area of Vinson Highway Dec. 1. A couple told the officer that a man tried to rob them as they were leaving a friend's house. When they ran away from the man, he fired several rounds at them, none of which struck them.
