MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.





Milledgeville Police Department

Disorderly Conduct

Officers charged a man with disorderly conduct for instigating a fight at Walmart that occurred Jan. 1. The man recorded a previous altercation between the two females on his cell phone and played the video, initiating another fight.

Entering Auto

A woman reported the theft of a book bag from the back seat of her vehicle as it was parked at a Doles Boulevard address Jan. 9. Two college textbooks and an iPad were reportedly in the book bag.

Burglary

A man reported a break-in at his W. Franklin Street apartment and the theft of two pairs of Air Jordan shoes, size 11 and size 10, sometime before 11:45 p.m. Jan. 2.

Theft by Shoplifting

An employee of a North Columbia Street grocery store reported a man leaving the store without paying for a Red Bull energy drink and a pack of Trident gum around 1:38 p.m. Jan. 9.  

Theft by Taking

A woman reported that someone took a $50 Best Buy gift card from her mailbox at her Stuart Circle residence sometime before Jan. 2.
