The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Burglary
A woman reported July 6 that she only frequents the residence located in the 100 block of Little Road on occasion and she has been attempting to move into the place for several months, but she discovered the heating and air conditioner units missing. The woman said that prior to April, her daughter and son-in-law lived at the residence and she made them move out, due to lack of payment. The case remains active.
Burglary
A woman reported July 7 that an unknown party forced entry into the back door at her home in the 300 block of J.F. Hall Road and stole several items including a laptop computer, portable CD player, digital camera, a Dish Network receiver, DVD player, gold coins, two Susan B. Anthony silver dollar coins from 1905, several pieces of gold jewelry, a Minolta 35mm camera and a leather briefcase. The deputy noted that the back door appeared to have been pried open and a report was filed for documentation.
Criminal Trespassing, Theft by Taking
A man reported July 6 that he last saw his air compressor June 29 and he returned to his residence July 5 and discovered that the air compressor was missing. The man showed the deputy the window from which the compressor was taken. The item is described as a three-gallon, 1000 psi Central Pneumatic air compressor valued at $60.
Theft by Taking
A man reported July 6 that he and his wife had just gotten back from vacationing out of town and when he returned to his home, in the 100 block of Pancras Road, he discovered that his Snapper lawn mower and Troy Built leaf shredder were gone. The man said both items were kept underneath a pole barn behind his residence.
Burglary
A 41-year-old woman and her teenage daughter were arrested July 6 after deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the old Midway School property located on Irwinton Road and the door opened to the building where a white female wearing a red shirt was looking outside from within the building. Upon further investigation, a pink and black gym bag was found inside of the building and the 41-year-old woman said that “while they were walking around, they discovered a yard sale was being set up or had been conducted and that she had seen some clothes that would fit her grandchildren.” The woman further stated that “due to her financial troubles, she did in fact place the clothes in the bag and was planning on taking them” when the deputy arrived. Both subjects were taken into custody and arrested on one count each of burglary.

Burglary
The owner of a store in the 1200 block of Twin Pine Road reported July 8 that while his store was closed the previous night, someone somehow entered through the rear fenced in area and then the rear door, possibly by pushing the door handle bolt back, and removed about $60 cash from the cash register and about $36 worth of potato chips and soft drinks. The offender left via the front door.
