MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Entering Auto

A woman reported that someone opened her car and took the CD player from the dash sometime before 8 p.m. Sept. 22.

— Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart employee reported the theft of $435.33 worth of merchandise from a male around 1 p.m. Sept. 22.

— DUI

A man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop for tail light requirements on South Wayne Street around 11 p.m. Sept. 22.  

— Gas Drive Off

A clerk at a Highway 49 West convenience store reported that someone pumped $74.41 in gas and left without paying around 1:42 a.m. Sept. 22.

— Burglary

A woman reported a break-in at a Stone Meadow Road residence around 2 a.m. Sept. 22. An Apple iPad 2 was reported missing.

— Disorderly Conduct

A man was charged with disorderly conduct after a deputy responded to a call of the man causing a disturbance at a Garrett Way restaurant around 8 p.m. Sept. 22.

— Theft by Taking

A man reported his cell phone and case was taken from his South Wayne Street residence around 2 a.m. Sept. 23.

— Burglary

A man reported a break-in at his Lake Drive residence. Eight rifles, two shot guns, one hand gun and ammunition were reported missing.
