MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

— Burglary

A woman reported a break-in at her South Jefferson Street residence Oct. 19 around 1:26 a.m. A cardboard box full of legal documents was reported missing from the home.   

— Financial Identity Fraud

An employee of Milledgeville Aviation reported that a man falsely identified himself as a Georgia generator associate and requested the financial bank transfer for equipment that had been ordered in advance. A total of $11,905.19 has been wire-transferred to the fraudulent agent since Oct. 15.

— Theft by Shoplifting

An employee of a South Wayne Street grocery store reported the theft of a variety pack of candy, a pack of gum, and a can of Campbell’s soup. The employee stated that a male suspect had the merchandise concealed in the pockets of his coat.

— Criminal Damage to Property

A woman at a Baum Bay Drive residence reported that a vehicle knocked her mailbox off the post around 2:20 a.m. Oct. 20.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Theft by Taking

A man reported that $140 in cash was taken from his Vinson Highway home around 2:48 p.m. Oct. 18.

— Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported that a woman attempted to take two cosmetic items out of the store without paying for them around 11:40 a.m. Oct. 18.

— Driving on a Suspended License

A woman was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop on North Columbia Street around 2 p.m. Oct. 18.
