MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

— Driving While Unlicensed

A male was charged with driving while unlicensed following a traffic stop on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive for no tail lights and one brake light with a broken taillight cover around 12:45 a.m. Oct. 27.

— Criminal Trespass

While conducting a foot patrol around 1:05 a.m. Oct. 26 in the area of a South Jefferson Street apartment complex, an officer noticed a man walking through the area, pulling on car doors. The man had received a notice of trespass previously and was arrested for returning to the same area.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Public Drunkenness

A woman was arrested and charged with public drunkenness after showing up at her ex-boyfriend’s Coombs Avenue residence and refusing to leave around 1:52 a.m. Oct. 22.

— Theft of Mislaid Property

A woman reported her purse was stolen from her shopping cart at Walmart around 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22.
