MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Burglary

A woman reported a break-in at her Shelby Lane residence Oct. 16 around 9 p.m. She reported that her son’s Norinco Rifle was missing from the home.   

— Burglary

A woman reported a break-in at her Matheson Road address sometime between Oct. 14 and 16. She returned home from school and noticed that her mountain bike was missing from the garage.

— Theft by Taking

A woman at a Grandview Drive address reported the theft of a brown bag of medication from her home Oct. 17. The bag contained Norcords, Elixafer, Depecot, Tresdone and Benadryl.  

— Hit and Run

A woman reported seeing someone hit her vehicle in the parking lot while she was eating lunch in a North Columbia Street restaurant Oct. 16. The rear driver’s side fender was damaged.  

— Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart Loss Prevention employee reported the theft of three 5 Hour Energy drinks, one Reese’s cup and a fleece scarf by a man around 1:56 p.m. Oct. 16.

— Theft by Shoplifting

An employee from a North Columbia Street store reported the theft of a variety pack of candy that contained Kit Kats and Snickers from a man around 10:36 a.m. Oct. 17.

— Driving While Unlicensed

A man was arrested and charged with driving while unlicensed and received a citation for no working tail lights following a traffic stop on Irwinton Road around 6:27 a.m. Oct. 17.
