Milledgeville Police Department
— Burglary
A woman reported a break-in at her South Tattnall Street home and the theft of a TV and the attempted theft of another TV, which was knocked over on its stand sometime Saturday.
— Larceny
A woman reported that an unknown person stole a new gas powered weedeater, a Briggs & Stratton push mower, a gas grill and green metal patio set from a home on West McIntosh Street last Saturday.
— Theft by taking
A woman reported a man took her purse containing $440 in cash, a bank card and drivers license as she was walking across the Montgomery Street bridge last Friday.
— Burglary
A woman reported a break-in at her Bland Street home and the theft of 13 video games, a Nintendo Wii console, an X-Box and Playstation II Wednesday.
— Theft by taking
A woman reported that a man took a donation jar from a store counter and ran out of the North Columbia Street store Monday around 9 p.m.
Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department
— Burglary
A man reported a break-in at his Green Street home and the theft of a paint sprayer, stretcher, router table, two skill saws, a heat gun, frozen food and an AM/FM cassette player. The door to the residence was kicked in and the man, who arrived during the robbery, said the offenders left in a dark, full-sized van with a rack on top. The men came back to the residence hours later on Thursday, and as he walked through the yard, a motion detector light came on and the offenders jumped back into the van and left.
— Theft by shoplifting
A woman reported the theft of several pairs of expensive sunglasses from a display at a Fieldstone Drive optical center Thursday. Surveillance video and other physical evidence were turned over to detectives for further investigation.
