Crime Digest, November 20, 2009

The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

— Burglary

A woman reported a break-in at a day care center on Irwinton Road and the theft of a laptop computer, a printer, a CD player and radio, a TV and a VCR sometime over the weekend.

— Burglary

A woman reported a possible break-in at an Oak Drive church sometime Monday night.

— Financial identity fraud

A man reported that someone opened an account for electric service in his name and that he had received a past due notice for $508.92. The account was opened almost a year ago, and the man reported it as fraudulent.

— Theft by taking

A man reported the theft of his son’s motorbike between Tuesday and Friday from their home on Gerrell Drive. The son said he left the bike with a friend while the friend’s mother said the bike was in the yard of a vacant residence next door. The bike is still missing and the case remains under investigation.
