The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Larceny

A woman stole at least one 12-pack of beer from a convenience store on Roberson Mill Road Wednesday morning around midnight.

— Criminal trespass

Someone threw concrete chunks through the windshields of four cars parked on a used car lot and vehicle repossession company on South Elbert Street sometime Monday night.

— Theft by taking

Someone stole the rear tires and rims off a Chevy Caprice Classic sometime Wednesday while the car was parked at a home on Magnolia Avenue. The victim said the same thing happened to her car two weeks ago when it was parked on Brook Street.

— Entering an auto

A woman reported the theft of her purse from an unsecured car parked on Twin Pine Road around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.

— Burglary

A woman reported the theft of her iPhone from her table in a North Columbia Street restaurant while she went to refill her drink Wednesday around 5:30 p.m.

— Illegal use of credit cards

Someone reported that someone made an unauthorized debit card transaction on her MidSouth Federal Credit Union account in the amount of $284 Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.



Baldwin County Sheriff's Department

— Theft by taking

Someone reported that a tenant’s $350 cash rent payment was taken from his front porch where the tenant left it to pay his rent around noon from a West McIntosh Street home.

— Theft by taking

A man reported that a car left at another man’s home for repairs had multiple parts stolen from it, including the all major engine parts and the car’s computer. The theft took place earlier in the year.

— Burglary

Someone reported a break-in at a Valley Road home sometime Wednesday and the theft of a TV, 35mm camera, digital camera, portable CD player, portable DVD player, three DVDs, two cans of Coca-Cola, approximately $100 in change and a blue back pack. Some of the items were recovered from the crawl space underneath the home. A witness described a car in the driveway of the home, and warrants have been issued for suspects in the case.
