The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

— Burglary

Someone reported a break-in at a home on North Main Street Monday, Oct. 19, between 7:30 and 9:55 p.m. and the theft of a 27” Sanyo television.

— Burglary

Someone reported a break-in sometime Saturday or Sunday and the theft of two safes containing several knife and coin sets, paperwork, as well as an LCD TV from a home on Prosser Road. The burglar broke a rear window to gain access to the house, according to the report.

— Burglary

Someone reported a break-in of a home on Chandler Circle sometime Sunday and the theft of a DVD player, approximately 40 DVDs, an Xbox and an Xbox game.

— Burglary

Someone reported a break-in of a home on Wolverine Street sometime Tuesday through Saturday, and the theft of electric hair trimmers, a Timex watch and a home theater system.

— Theft

Someone reported the theft of an alloy, eight-star rim from a home on Harrisburg Road around 2:40 p.m. Sunday.

— Criminal attempt to commit burglary

Someone reported their son called them and told them someone dressed all in black had broken out a window and attempted to enter a house located on Marion Street Saturday around 2:40 p.m.

— Burglary

Someone reported a break-in of a home on Grace Weaver Road and the theft of two long guns sometime Monday, Oct. 12. The guns are described as Browning Gold 12-gauge shotgun worth $1,200 and a Marlin rifle valued at $400 with a $150 scope attached, according to a police report.

— Burglary

Someone reported a break-in of a home on Lata Terrace and the attempted theft of a 63-inch TV that was overturned on the home’s porch sometime in the early afternoon Thursday. The TV was extensively damaged in the attempt.

— Entering an auto

Someone reported the entering of their car located on Brittany Drive sometime Saturday, Oct. 10, and the theft of three sets of work keys, two flashlights, a leather man knife, a Stanley socket set, a Gerber knife, a checkbook and a GCSU ID badge. The man had noticed that someone had cashed one of the checks in the amount of $70.

— Burglary

Someone reported that someone broke into a salvage yard located on Highway 49 and had stolen 25 car radiators and four wheels sometime Monday night, Oct. 13, according to a sheriff’s report. The salvage yard owner reported that the thief gained access to the yard by cutting the lock chaining the business gates shut as a pair of bolt cutters was discovered on the scene, according to the report.
