The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Theft by Taking
A man reported June 23 that someone had stolen his 15 HP Evinrude boat motor off of his fishing boat while it was parked at a hunting club in the 800 block of Stembridge Road. The man said he last saw the motor June 21 and when he showed up this date, the motor was gone. The man showed the deputy where the offender dragged the motor from the boat to the river, which borders his land.
Burglary
A man reported June 26 that he discovered that an air compressor, chain saw and generator were missing from his residence in the 300 block of Gordon Highway.
Burglary
A man reported June 27 that an unknown person entered his residence, located in the 100 block of Torrance Road, and stole several items including a DVD player, laptop computer, two mini laptop computers, a handgun and several flat screen TVs. The deputy observed the rear door appeared to be the entry point, but the complainant could not provide any suspects in the incident.

Entering Auto
An employee of the Baldwin Service Center reported July 5 that sometime between July 3 and July 5 an unknown person entered three different transport vans parked in the front parking lot of the center. The officer inspected the vehicles and found that all three of the vehicles had the molding broken on the dash and the offender had forcibly removed the CD players from the dash.
Burglary
A man reported July 5 that he left his apartment, located in the 200 block of E. Montgomery Street, July 1 and upon returning, he was advised by his roommate that his apartment had been broken into the previous night. The man's roommate stated that he was at the apartment around 10:30 p.m. and everything appeared normal, but he returned to the apartment around 8 a.m. and called the police department. A 27-inch Vizio flat screen TV, an Apple MacBook laptop computer, a Casio Exlim camera, an iPod shuffle, 30 DVDs, seven Xbox games, two Xbox controllers and a backpack were all reported missing from the apartment.
