MILLEDGEVILLE —  

The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Criminal Trespass

A woman reported that an unknown man was seen spray painting her trash can lid sometime on Jan. 5. The woman went to take out her trash at approximately 12:32 a.m. and saw a male running down the street. A neighbor informed the woman that he witnessed the man spray painting the can earlier.

Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart Loss Prevention employee reported a man took a can of spray paint, a bag of Lays potato chips, and a case of Bud Light beer around 4:45 p.m. Jan. 9. 

Theft by Taking

A man reported that someone stole the three batteries from his boat, located at his house boat behind his residence on Clover Court. Jan. 8.  

Burglary

A woman at an Ebony Lounge Road address reported a break-in sometime before 9 p.m. Jan. 7. When returning to her home she noticed the screen door had been torn off and there was a crack in the front door. No items were missing from the home. While checking her home, she noticed that someone had been on her computer and looked up multiple websites. The suspect's Facebook page was still up on the screen.
