MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Entering Auto

Two females reported seeing a male going through the parking lot at College Station Apartments checking door handles to vehicles around 1:25 a.m. Sept. 25. He found an unlocked car and entered the vehicle. $42.12 in change was reported missing from the car.

— Shoplifting

A clerk reported that a female took food items from an East Hancock Street convenience store without paying for them around 1:20 a.m. Sept. 25.

— DUI

A man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign on Harrisburg Road around 1 a.m. Sept. 25.

— Burglary

A man reported a break-in at his Barrows Ferry Road home Sept. 25 around 1 a.m. A laptop computer, a cell phone and a 26 inch plasma TV were reported stolen.

— Theft by Taking

A man reported his barbecue grill was stolen from his North Wayne Street residence around 12:35 a.m. Sept. 25.

— Theft by Taking

On Sept. 26 around 7:09 p.m., a man reported his small window air conditioner at his East Hall Street apartment had been damaged and metal components from the unit were missing.

— Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart employee reported the theft of three 26 inch flat screen TV’s by a male around 7:57 p.m. on Sept. 25.
