MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

— Entering Auto

A woman at a Stevens Drive residence reported that someone entered her vehicle and took the face off of her Panasonic CD player sometime before 12:14 a.m. Oct. 5.

— Burglary

A woman reported a burglary at her Sugarberry Drive home sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. Oct. 6. She informed officers that her son is the only person that lives there and that she and her daughter keep items in the home while they are in the process of moving. A 50-inch TV was reported missing from the residence.

— Theft by Taking

A man reported his handgun was taken from his mother’s residence on South Jefferson Street around 8:30 p.m. Oct. 5. There were no signs of forced entry.

— Theft by Taking

A man reported his Yamaha dirt bike had been stolen from his C.C. Camp Road residence Oct. 4 around 9 p.m. He informed officers that a similar incident had happened before in the past, but the stolen item was returned shortly thereafter.

— Financial Transaction Card Fraud

A woman at a Log Cabin Road residence reported that she attempted to purchase gas and her debit card was declined. Upon checking the balance, she observed $1,327 of unauthorized transactions had been charged to her account.

— Damage to Property

A woman reported that her former boyfriend kicked her out of their Highway 49 West apartment and damaged her CD player, iPad and plasma TV sometime between midnight and 1:30 a.m. Oct. 6.
