MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Robbery

A store clerk reported that a man came into a convenience store on North Jefferson Street Sept. 21 and approached the register, as if to pay, with a bag of peanuts. As the register opened, the man took money and headed north on North Jefferson. The man was described as a black male who left the scene, possibly driving a black Honda Accord or a Hyundai.

— Criminal Trespass, Damage to Property

An officer made contact with a woman Sept. 21 who said someone spray painted an obscenity on the storm door at her Jefferson Street residence and on her drive way around 10 p.m. Sept. 20.

— Theft Auto

A business owner reported that his employee’s PT Cruiser was parked beside the business and that when he returned, the vehicle was gone. He was advised that another person had left in the vehicle. The officer was later informed by Putnam County law enforcement that the vehicle had been involved in a chase and ended up in a crash.
