MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary

An officer responding to a burglar alarm discovered that someone attempted to break into a North Jefferson Street business sometime between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. Oct. 22.

— Criminal Trespass

A man reported Oct. 23 that he was returning home from visiting family to his Allen Memorial Drive residence to find his ex-wife inside. Upon his arrival, the ex-wife exited the back door.   

— Theft by Taking

A manager at a North Columbia Street restaurant reported the theft of cooking grease from an employee Oct. 22.

— Disorderly Conduct

Law enforcement responded to an anonymous call of a man beating on mailboxes with a large stick in the West Thomas Circle area around 7:42 p.m. Oct. 22.

— Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart employee reported the theft of three shopping bags of groceries by a male and a female around 3:41 p.m. Oct. 22.
